As you can see from the above list, we have a standard fridge slide that’s suitable for most situations. The 50L and below slide, as well as the mini and generator/battery slides are built with a 125kg locking drawer slide, whilst the others operate with a 227kg locking drawer slide. The locking drawer slide ensures that the slide is locked in the closed position so that it won’t accidentally slide open in transit or when you’re parked on a slope. It’s also locked in the fully extended position so that it won’t accidentally slide closed and injure someone or cause damage to other items nearby.

The extra-long slide is ideal for caravan boot tunnels, 4WD camper trailers and Ute trays as you can stack more than one heavy item on these trays, one behind the other. The mini slide is ideal for smaller items that need to be secured and accessed easily, for example batteries or coffee machines. Manufactured from 3mm aluminium, these are lightweight units (they don’t add much weight to your vehicle’s GVM) and are easy to install and very affordable. Made from 3mm aluminium, they are available in a range of standard sizes, but can be customised to suit your exact size requirements. Standard sizes include 50L and under, 60L and over, 80L and over, and 95L and over, as follows:

• 50L and under: 675mm W x 408mm L
• 60L and over: 805 W x 510mm L
• 80L and over: 905 W x 525mm L
• 95L and over: 950mm W x 550mm L

As you can see from these measurements, these fridge slides are wider than they are long, which allows for sliding your fridge out sideways. They are suitable for many fridges, but some you may know are Engel, Waeco and Evakool. All of these models operate with a 227kg locking drawer slide, except for the 50L and below, which operates with a 125kg locking drawer slide. These locking drawer slides lock in both the fully closed and open positions. This is an added safety feature that ensures the fridge slide won’t accidentally slide open in transit or when you park on a slope and it won’t slide backwards if someone knocks it when it’s open.

A key feature of these sideways fridge slides is that they are pretty lightweight, so they shouldn’t cause a problem with your GVM. They also open to their full extension so it’s easy to reach food tucked away in the back of the fridge. First of all we have the cable caddy that protects the cable to your fridge from being damaged. You might not have noticed, but this cable can get jammed down the side of the fridge and even caught up in the fridge slide as it moves. The easy solution is to install our cable caddy which includes a heavy duty 6mm cable and all the bits and pieces you need to attach it to your fridge slide. The cable caddy fits all our standard size fridge slides, as well as our tilt fridge slides and the MSA drop down fridge slides.

The Dunn & Watson locking joiner bar is a great product that solves a problem you most probably didn’t even know you had! How often have you tried to open your fridge slide and found that with your hands full, you can’t do it? That’s because our locking drawer slides require two hands to operate, so we have designed this locking joiner bar because it only needs one hand to operate. It has a black powder coated finish, so that it looks smart and comes with stainless steel fittings, so it’s easy to install. It operates with the Dunn & Watson 60kg, 125kg and 227kg locking drawer slides and will fit drawers up to 1000mm wide. All you do is just cut the bar to fit and then use the fittings to lock it into place.

The Dunn & Watson fridge cage barrier is another great accessory that you didn’t know you needed until you can’t live without it! These cages completely cover the top, back and sides of your fridge, allowing you to pack as much as possible into the back of your tray without damaging your fridge or stopping the slide from working. With the cage barrier, you can still access your fridge without moving a stack of things out of the way first.

The drop down fridge slide is suitable for 4WD pickups and Utes with back access and side access canopies. They are usually positioned on top of cargo drawer systems or a false floor, as this makes accessing your fridge much easier due to its increased height. If you have a tailgate, make sure that the height of the drawer doesn’t impede the movement of the drop down slide, allowing it to lock into its full extension (the drop down slide and the sideways drop down slides both have a 300mm drop).

They are both fitted with a 227kg locking drawer slide that secures the slide in the fully closed and fully extended positions. This is a safety feature that prevents your fridge from moving in transit. In addition, both have a key lock on the front of the tray, giving you a second safety feature to prevent movement of the slide when in the closed position. They are available in a variety of sizes.

The drawer systems are made from solid aluminium and are designed to give you 25% more internal space than other brands. They are built tough for heavy loads and are designed for specific vehicles, such as Ford Ranger, Holden Colorado, and so on. The MSA fridge barrier cage is a great additional extra as it allows you to store much more gear around your fridge without impeding the use of the fridge slide. Sizes are as follows (we add an additional 10mm to both the length and width to allow for the 6mm stainless steel rivet heads):

• 50L and under: 395mm W x 675mm L

These slides are the same size as the standard fridge slides with the main difference being that they tilt your fridge forward and down. The 50L and under and the 60L and over fridge slides are made from 3mm aluminium, whilst the 80L and over and the 95L and over are made from 4mm aluminium. The 50L and under fridge slide operates with a 125kg locking drawer slide, whilst the 60L and over, 80L and over, and 95L and over, operate with the heavy duty 227kg locking drawer slides. These locking drawer slides ensure that the fridge remains in place in the fully closed and fully extended positions to prevent accidents. They are also fitted with Dunn & Watson gas struts that make the operation of these fridge slides effortless.

Slide and tilt fridge slides are easy to use, you simply unlock the tray and slide it towards you, then pivot it downwards. Access what you need in the fridge, use the gas assisted struts to lift it back to horizontal, and then slide it back and lock in place. If you have a tailgate on the back however, the fridge needs to be positioned on top of a cargo drawer with enough height to allow the slide to tilt down to its full extension (most people use tilt slides because they position them on top of cargo drawers, but it’s still worth mentioning the potential problems with tailgates).

The tilt function is designed for fridges that are too high to access easily, pivoting it forwards and down so that you can see inside. The Gen 3 sliding floor is basically a false floor that slides in and out and has a capacity of 200kg of evenly spread weight with multiple tie down points. It’s made of heavy duty steel that’s powder coated and extends out to 75% of its length. The Gen 3 has intermittent locking and is available in the following sizes (the shorter sizes are good for dual cabs), although it can also be custom made to your specs:

The aluminium tub slide can also take an evenly spread 200kg in weight, extends to 75% of its length and has a locking drawer slide. It’s available in the following sizes:

The main difference between the tub and the Gen 3 is that the latter is more of a flat floor, whilst the former has 120mm high edges making it more of a tray than a floor. They both operate on sealed bearings, giving them a smooth gliding motion even in dusty conditions, and have checker plate floors. The under tray Ute drawer (also suitable for caravans and RVs) is the ideal way to make use of dead space and turn it into useful storage space. It has a locking paddle handle on the front and a gas strut assisted lid to keep everything safely stowed out of the way. Available in the following sizes:
