These lockable drawer slides are strong, reliable and hard wearing. High quality runners mean they’re perfect for working or leisure environments and suitable for use in utes, vans, camper trailers, caravans, 4WDs and more!

Weight categories

These high quality Dunn & Watson drawer slides come in three different weight categories:

• Heavy Duty – this drawer slide boasts a 227 kilogram carrying capacity.
• Medium Duty – this slide offers up to 125 kilogram carrying capacity.
• Light Duty – the light drawer slide carries up to 60 kilogram.

Note that all weight ratings are based on 500 millimetre square drawers.

If the weight rating isn’t enough to suit your needs, you can purchase and install two runners. Simply put the second runner above the first. While this won’t offer double the amount of carrying capacity, it will provide an approximate increase of 75% of the weight. If you need more than that, we advise splitting your system into multiple smaller drawers.

Variety of sizes

There’s a locking drawer slide for just about EVERY application. Our heavy duty models vary in length from 356 millimetre to 1,524 millimetre. The medium duty comes in everything from 356 millimetre to 1,016 millimetre, while the light duty comes between 350 millimetres to 800 millimetre.

The locking lever adds 25 millimetre to the overall closed length of the drawer, so make sure to take this into consideration when measuring out your application space.

Zinc plated

With a high quality finish and zinc plating, you can rest assured your locking drawer slides are durable and will last for a long, long time.

Full extension

What good’s a drawer if you can’t reach what you need to? With full extension there’s no compromise in accessing the stuff you need in your sliding drawer. The runners of these sliding drawers are designed to ensure you get to utilise the entire length of the drawer: from nose to tail and everything in between.

Easy application

Designed to be easy to use and also install, these sliding drawers are simple to apply. Make sure you lay the runners vertically and not horizontally as the gravity belt won’t operate and thus the lock won’t engage if it’s laid flat.

Durability

The single arm lock-in mechanism allows for full extension of the drawer with one gravity belt. What does this mean? If you accidentally knock or bump your drawer slides you won’t damage or bend the track or gravity belt. Damage can cause the mechanism to decrease in functionality and compromise its effectiveness and safety over time. Our design ensures that you can enjoy smooth, locking sliding drawers that will open easily and shut reliably.

Hassle-free locking feature

These excellent drawer slides are designed and manufactured to be practical, user-friendly and hassle-free.

To lock, all you need to do is pull out your fully extendable drawer along the runners. Once in full extension, the orange trigger at the front will engage and the drawer will be locked. If the slides are closed it won’t operate.

This simple locking mechanism makes for handy use when accessing the slide on uneven or unstable ground. No more pesky drawers sliding shut unwanted!

It’s important to note that these drawers do not lock in sections. They will lock when engaged and fully extended, or when completely closed.

Disconnectable sliding drawers

Both the medium and light duty locking sliding drawers can be disconnected. This makes it handy for use in tight spaces where it can be difficult to crawl in and access. The heavy duty drawers are not disconnectable to ensure that they can carry increased amounts of weight without compromising structural integrity.

Disconnecting the lighter duty drawers is easy. Simply bring the drawer out to full extension and press on the trigger to disconnect the runners. The hook is easy to find and located on the back.

For reinsertion, simply slide it back to the front and match up track one to the ball cage until you hear an audible click.

Choosing the right drawer slides

1. How much cargo space do you have?
2. How much extension do you need and what do you need to access?

Considerations:

• Drawer slides cannot operate at depths exceeding 1,450 millimetre.
• Minimum recommended extension is 70%. Less than that will negatively impact functionality and accessibility. Not enough strength but great extension can cause weakness in the slides.
• Shorter runners are a great way to save money if they suit your application.
• Greater extension is needed for accessing different boxes, compartments or smaller items.
• Drawers come in zinc plating, galvanised and stainless steel.
• Locking drawer slides are ideal for larger applications, such as fridges and barbecues, and use on uneven services.
• Non-locking slides are required when you have a facial front lock or don’t have access to the front of the slide, making unlocking an extended drawer impossible.
