Are you looking for motorhome grab handles? The Dunn & Watson plastic grab handle has numerous practical uses for caravans, camper trailers, buses and boats.
They are ideal for situations when you only have a sliding bolt lock on a drawer for instance, as they allow you to easily open the drawer once the bolt has been withdrawn. Another practical use is to open and close drawers that are installed with our locking drawer slides, giving you a firm handle on the front of the drawer. They can be positioned at door entryways to help you climb a step into your caravan or bus and also as tie downs, although you must be aware that they don’t have a load rating if you use them as tie downs.
Features of the caravan front grab handles
These particular rv grab handles or plastic grab handles are available in one size only: 173mm long x 25mm in width. One of the great features of these black handles is that they are very low profile, standing only 30mm above the substrate. This makes them ideal for situations when you don’t want handles sticking out that can injure people or you have limited space available.
Another very nice feature is that the fittings are concealed within the handle. You simply screw the handle into position and then click down the caps that hide these screws. This makes it a very neat and slim looking handle. With no sharp edges they are ideal for lots of different applications.
Grab handles for motorhomes
We have already mentioned a few of the popular uses for these grab handles, but in reality, there are an endless number of ways these handles can be of use. You can use them as a pull handle on caravans, RVs and buses as you climb into the cabin or to open and close drawers or toolboxes. One of the reasons they are also known as caravan pull handles is because they are regularly used for this purpose in caravans. They have also been used to hang tea towels, secure dogs via a long lead when in camp and attach clothes lines!
How to install plastic grab handles
These plastic grab handles are very easy to install, particularly if you are replacing an older broken handle. In the latter case, you simply remove the existing handle and screw the new handle in its place. If it’s a new installation or the holes don’t line up then it’s easy to mark the necessary holes and install the replacement handle using the screws, not forgetting to click down the covers to hide the fixings.
Need something different?
Dunn & Watson have two other grab handles that might suit your needs. These are the chrome grab handle and the powder coated steel grab handle.
The chrome grab handle is a very simple handle that’s ideal for tool boxes and small drawers (considered light duty applications). It has exposed fixings and just needs four screws for a firm attachment.
The powder coated steel grab handle is ideal for heavy duty applications. It has exposed fixings and is easy to install with two screws. It also has a low profile, but still allows you to get your hand under it easily.
